The Complete introduction to Online Paid Surveys

By Melissa Johnson

Over the last few years, paid surveys actually appear to have taken the web by tempest as various services pop up here and there offering inducements in return for the completion of what is commonly known as a 'survey form'.

Basically, this means that you could be profiting by doing something as straightforward as responding to a few questions and then submitting them.

on hearing paid surveys described in this fashion, many skeptics instantly start to think that it is some sort of con. After all, why would anyone need to pay others for something as simple as spending 2 mins to reply to a few questions?

Put that way it certainly does sound barely dodgy, but the fact of the matter is, if you are in the marketing line you would understand the incentive behind paid surveys a little more . In reality, you could even describe it in two words : Market research.

When you boil things down, all this fuss over paid surveys does mount up to straightforward, good old market research. Nearly every company that provides a product wishes some kind of market research. Any one at all who is interested in selling anything wishes to understand as much as possible about the market which they're interested in drumming into.

And so companies happily pay for such info. It may be something as simple as information about what type of lipstick teenage girls like to wear, or what sorts of toys folks are most ready to buy for their youngsters.

within market research there are so many avenues that are worth looking into, and huge firms need information to base pretty much every major decision that they make upon. After all, would you want your company to invest millions into the production of a certain product to find that the market it was aimed at isn't actually interested by it?

See, it does not sound so irrational now that people are ready to pay for such research, does it?

All things expounded and done, paid surveys certainly look like they are here for good, and judging by the amount of new sites that constantly appear to show up on an almost daily basis, they appear to be going from strength to strength.

of course, it is worth noting that not every paid survey is 'paid' in the shape of direct money. Some paid surveys offer prizes, repayments on products, and assorted other motivations in the place of a real cash prize.

Still, for anybody prepared to spend some time filling out a few surveys daily, there is the potential for rather a lot of profit to be made, and no tiny amount of goodies to be earned on top of that, just to sweeten the pot.

Who knows what will come next from the paid survey department, but in an increasingly tough market, research such as that supplied by paid surveys is more valuable, and firms are certain to continue to need it. - 22871
