I'm not an Internet marketer and I'm not trying to sell you something. Instead, if you are trying to make money on the Internet or starting an online home based business, I have a simple piece of advice for you. The advice I am talking about is:
"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
If I could get inside your head, I know what you will think. "Who is this guy trying to fool? Tell me something I don't know."
Absolutely. When your girlfriend smiles sweetly at you, laughs at all your jokes and praises you to the high heavens in front of your friends, you enjoy it while you can. And while you are enjoying all that, you hide your credit card. :)
But do you apply the same skepticism to the online world?
There are tons of websites with get-rich-quick offers on the web. Details vary, but the financial reward will always be completely disproportionate to the time, effort and skill needed to do the work or transact the business.
And they are thriving because despite their ridiculous claims, many people still get duped. It seems that when we come online, we leave behind our healthy skepticism.
I have been online a long time and I have been tempted many times by such sites. I gave in a couple of times as well. But I have not found a single site that lived up to their promise.
And the problem with such sites is not necessarily the money you would lose. It is your time. It is the time that you lose when browsing such sites. It is the time that would be better spent in researching SEO techniques or writing a post on your blog.
Sites like these are everywhere on the web.
Do yourself a favor and click the back button the next time you come across such a site. Making very good money on the Internet is a very real possibility, but only if you spend your time and energy productively, and not on offers or sites that are too good to be true. - 22871
