That Precious Commodity, Time. Take Time Out From Your Home Based Business!

By Heather Wass

I think about when we started our internet marketing business. Our dream was to be able to work from the comfort of home, and also have time together. But we soon became so immersed in getting through the overwhelm and work, that days came and went without notice. Our previous life seemed to fade into the background. After a few months or so we couldnt believe we had robbed ourselves of so much interaction with others.

We have both discovered that this is a common occurance for most work from home people like us. There are too many of us internet entrepreneurs driven by the desire to be successful in our chosen internet businesses, that we forget to stop and smell the roses along the way. And many of us believe we are not justified in taking time away from the business at hand, until we have the success we want.

When tucked snuggly in the office it is too easy to forget about the rest of the world. The thinking, that when I just master this or that, finish one more this and that, then I will join the family, then I will take that walk. It is insane .......... for people who have chosen to work at home online, not to enjoy the greatest benefit which is Time. Time for the pleasures of life.

Why is it that we do this? We miss one of the important reasons of why we decided to become internet marketers in the first place. We longed for self employment and being able to work at home, and the freedom that we are pursuing. Good business management includes looking after number one ...... You!

Here are five essential reasons why you should take regular breaks:

1. You need physical down-time. Trying to be super-human sitting on your backside all day is a sure way to burn out. So get out of the office ..... take the kids and the dog for a walk.

2. You need mental down-time. Get out and play, your mind will thank you. Your days are filled with busy, sometimes even hectic, day to day activities related to your business. Getting away from that for a while will ensure peace of mind.

3. Spend quality time with loved ones. You are at home now, and your friends and family see you working so hard. They would really appreciate spending real time with you.

4. Go see the world. Or even just your own back yard!

5. Do something you enjoy. Make your office off-limits by closing the door and placing a sign on it. Do whatever it takes to keep your mind off working. Think of what you can do within your budget that is fun. Read a great book or do nothing at all! You have an incredible life. It is surprising how many home business owners do not feel they deserve time off. There is always too much to do and not enough hours in the day to get do it. Guess what, it is always going to feel that way! Only you have the power to allow yourself time off. Even if you take a day here and day there away from your online business, that is a whole lot better than never taking time off. You will feel better about yourself and your work if you take regular relaxion time. You will be healthier, too! - 22871
