Incentives You Can Gain From A Residual Income Affiliate Program

By Louis-Charles Martel

The people who are working 40 hours a week get paid for the 40 hours of effort they give to their jobs. This just means that they are earning money only for the hours they work. If a person gets sick and files an absence for the day, he will not get paid for that particular day. This is an example of earning a linear income. In today's times, we all have to earn more than what we used to and this is where a residual income affiliate program comes in. Residual income is simply the income that comes in regularly after the effort has been done in the past.

As an affiliate, you act as a sales person for a merchant. All the sales promotion is done online so you can call it as a work from home opportunity. Recently, affiliate marketing has become so popular that many people are quitting their jobs to engage in it. Success in affiliate marketing is also well-known and is probably why it is very popular today.

Merchants need to market their products to get a sale and instead of paying employees to work on expensive marketing campaigns, they just use the services of the people who are willing to promote their products. These people are called affiliate marketers and they get paid every time a sale or a particular action is made.

An affiliate marketer can promote the merchant's products by showcasing them in his own website or by doing article marketing. Every time a visitor clicks on an affiliate link, he gets directed to the sales page of the merchant. And if he does buy something from the merchant, the affiliate gets credited for the sale and is paid a percentage from it. For the merchant, paying an affiliate a finder's fee for bringing a customer for the first time is very cost-efficient.

An initial commission is very reasonable but when a customer is satisfied with the merchant's products, he tends to buy products on a regular basis. And for this, you only get paid for a one-time effort but if it weren't for you, the merchant won't have a loyal customer. A lot of affiliate marketers are okay with this type of set-up because they have found a program which is easy to get new clients. But a problem with this type of set-up is that you have to put effort to recruiting each customer. This is just like earning a linear income.

The good news here though is that there are merchants who offer a residual income affiliate program for their affiliates. With this type of program, the affiliate continually gets paid every time the customer buys something from the merchant. For the one-time effort of recruiting a customer, the affiliate can gain a lifetime of commissions. Now, isn't that great?

The idea of residual income enlivens any affiliate because with it, a stable income can be made from home. It also encourages the affiliate to vigorously promote the merchant's products for the long-term benefits it can bring them.

Having a residual income is also a good way to start expanding one's business. With it, an affiliate does not have to worry about focusing his attention to one marketing campaign. Once the checks come in each month, the affiliate can have the time to enjoy the joys of having a residual income. - 22871
